New Release: Seductive Chaos by A. Meredith Walters.

Cole Brandt was the self-centered and philandering lead singer for Generation Rejects

Vivian Baily was a flaky, attention seeking drama queen.

Apart they were challenging…together they were complete and total chaos.

Cole and Vivian were two people who should never have been together.

Yet they crashed into each other at every turn.

Their relationship was anything but stable. But it was passionate. It was messy. It was hopelessly seductive. And it might possibly drive them both insane.

They fought. They made up. They screamed. They made love.

They hated and they loved in equal measure.

And now that Generation Rejects are starting to hit it big and the band is on the road, temptation and massive egos could very well spell the end of their roller coaster.

If only they could stay away from each other.

But Vivian has finally reached her breaking point. Tired of their endless cycle, she is ready to say goodbye to Cole for good.

Yet Cole isn’t one to go away quietly. Particularly when he is starting to realize exactly what he stands to lose if Vivian walks away.

As his world begins to turn upside down, Cole realizes that the one person who can hold him together is the girl who may no longer want him.

Love can be a comedy of errors, particularly for two people who never seem to get the timing right.

And In the crazy world of rock and roll, the hardest lessons to learn just might be the ones with the sweetest rewards

 EXCERPT:

I pressed myself up against Cole, my face an inch from his.  My heart was thumping wildly, my blood was buzzing with fury.

“I am sick of your bullshit, Cole.  You better walk the line tonight or you’ll be sorry.  Do I make myself clear?  I didn’t come all this way to be humiliated by you.  If you want me here, then fucking act like it,” I hissed.

Cole’s eyes snapped and sizzled, his chest heaving up and down.  He was flushed and just as furious as I was.

Then he grabbed the back of my head, his fingers curling into my hair and smashed his mouth down on mine.

The kiss was bruising and forceful.  This wasn’t about romance.  This was about domination.  I bit down on his bottom lip and could taste his blood.

He pulled away, his lips swollen and bleeding.  “I’m happy you’re here.  Is that what you want me to say?  Is that what you want to hear?”  He grabbed my upper arms and pushed me back against the wall, his pelvis thrusting against mine.

“Does that make you happy?” he demanded.

I couldn’t take my eyes away from him.  He was gorgeous.  And he made me feel completely and totally alive.  I craved this manic insanity that I only seemed to experience when I was with him.

Why couldn’t I be content with nice and normal?  Why did I crawl over broken glass for this madness?

Why did I allow Cole to degrade me and humiliate me over and over again?  Why did I scream at him and make a scene just so I could get this reaction from him?

What the hell was wrong with me?

What the hell was wrong with us?

I was so turned on I could barely stand.  I wanted him to take me then and there.  I didn’t give a crap about the people openly gawking at us. I thrived on it.

I wanted the hard press of his body against mine. I wanted the chaos.

“Yes! It makes me happy,” I bit out, giving him that tiny victory.

“Good,” he said, leaning in and kissing me tenderly on the nose.  His thumbs caressed the side of my face.  A remarkably gentle act from such a volatile man.

“Stand in front.  I want to see you when I sing,” Cole murmured, leaning in to kiss me on the mouth.  And this one wasn’t hateful or angry.  It was soft and almost loving.  And it shook me to my core.

Then he was gone and I stood there, my back against the wall, trying to catch my breath, not sure what the hell had just happened.

GUEST POST by Chelsea M. Cameron

(As I sit here in my Doctor Who PJ's, I just have to say that this seriously is one of the best posts I have read in quite a while!! I love this post as much as any book Chelsea has written. Here's to the nerds!! ~Wendy)

The importance of nerds

In Slowly We Trust, we have a Harry Potter fangirl with a secret colliding with a Star Wars fanboy with great hair. It’s a dorky explosion of awesome and I had a great time putting as many references to both in the book.

Here’s the thing: I’m a nerd. I let my geek flag fly. I have Hermione’s wand (Harry Potter), a wooden stake (Buffy) a Shiny sweatshirt (Firefly), Elena’s daylight ring (The Vampire Diaries), a tiny Edward figurine (Twilight) and more books and movies and other memorabilia that I can’t even list.

You know what else? Nerds are AWESOME people. Seriously. AWESOME. They’re some of the most passionate and smart people you’ll ever meet. And we’re EVERYWHERE. No longer are nerds confined to their parent’s basements, or to small conventions. The internet has made connecting with others that are passionate about what you are passionate about possible. Subcultures have sprouted throughout the web and now people who would never have a chance to meet in real life can form connections.

The thing that brings all nerds and geeks and dorks alike together is passion. I’ve discovered that I don’t like people who aren’t passionate about something. I don’t care what you’re passionate about. I can be making replicas of the Eiffel Tower out of toothpicks. But if you have passion for it, I respect that and understand that. But other people who don’t seem to care about anything? I don’t get you. I will never get you. If we meet at a party, I will excuse myself to go to the bathroom and then run away to avoid talking to you.

People without passion are BORING. I don’t get what they do with their time. If I didn’t have writing and reading and endless Buffy marathons, I’d have a LOT of time on my hands. Sure, my house would probably be cleaner, and my taxes would get done before the last minute, but it would be boring as hell. No, thank you.

This world needs passion. No one accomplished anything without passion. Some would call it obsession, but I say that a little obsession never hurt anyone. (Well, maybe there was that one time, but let’s not talk about that, okay?)

So go ahead, mock my Buffy shirt, or my lifesize cutout of Ian Somerhalder. I don’t care. I’ll just be over here, being awesome and you can continue to be dull.

The geek will inherit the earth.

HOLD ME TIGHT Synopsis:

He loves me. He loves me not.

Ivy's heart shatters upon hearing Eric's crushing ultimatum. Despite how much she cares for him, she won't give in to his demands. She has no choice but to leave, even if it's the hardest thing she's ever had to do.

She loves me. She loves me not.

When Ivy walks out, Eric can't help feeling betrayed. Unwilling to put her at risk, he values her safety above all else. By refusing to compromise, he's blindsided when she moves in with a man who's already stolen so much from him.

I love you. You love me not.

Lauren sees Eric and Ivy's split as an opportunity to end their relationship once and for all. When Ivy places herself at the mercy of Eric's rival, Lauren plots to destroy the fragile tie binding them together, even if she endangers Ivy's life in the process.

Excerpt:

But there’s something I have to do before this goes any further.

Slowly, I draw my head away from her embrace, finding the courage to finally meet her eyes. Her hair hasn’t been combed and her face is all tear-stained, but she has never looked more beautiful.

She stands, bracing herself against me. Her breath hitches when I gently start unbuttoning her shirt, but her eyes never leave my face. I stop partway up, raising the bottom half of her cami up and over her baby bump. Dropping down, I run my hands across her stomach, feeling her shiver against my fingertips. Looking up at her, I place my lips on her bellybutton, kissing the child that’s growing within her, the miracle we created.

“I will never ask you to choose again,” I say solemnly, my voice nothing but a whisper.

Ivy starts to cry in earnest, placing her hands atop mine.

“You are my heart now. Whatever happens to you happens to me.” I kiss each one of her knuckles as she sighs deeply, like she’s been longing with all her soul to hear me say these words. “I know I’m not as brave as you are, but I promise to try harder.”

“Eric, stop. You’re the bravest man I know,” she proclaims with a tender fierceness, tears shining in her eyes.

“I’m just so afraid of losing you,” I mutter, breaking down.

“Oh, Eric,” she whimpers, sobbing right along with me. “I know, baby... I know.”

I lean back against the wall, guiding her onto my lap. We don’t say anything more. We just sit there and hold each other, savoring the moment.

Happy Release Day to Girl Lost by Nazarea Andrews!!

Girl Lost Synopsis:

Northern was supposed to be a fresh start—a place where people didn’t know who I was or how I had spent years in and out of mental institutes. People didn't know about my parents death or the island no one heard of. But when Peter sits next to me in lit class, I can’t stop the memories, and I don’t want to. He looks too much like the boy from the island, and despite my best intentions, coaxes my secrets from me.

He’s gorgeous, irresistible, a little mad, and completely lost—we are a pair of broken cogs in a world neither of us truly fits into. He is somehow gentle and fierce, heartbreaking in his devotion and savage in his defense.

When Belle, his best friend, shows up, pale and lovely and sick, Peter pulls away from me, a startling withdrawal. It’s a relationship that scares and confuses me. She is at times warm and friendly, and other times is violent and unpredictable.

Peter says that he wants me, but refuses to let himself get close. And there are secrets, surrounding both of us, that border on nightmares. As the memories close in, as Belle gets sicker and more violent, I’m torn between what is true and what I believe, and what this magical boy knows about my mysterious past.
