Author: Sylvain Reynard
Title: Gabriel’s Redemption (Gabriel’s Inferno Series #3)
Publisher: Penguin Berkley
Summary:
From the author of the New York Times
bestsellers Gabriel’s Rapture and Gabriel’s Inferno comes the epic conclusion
to the captivating romantic trilogy.
Professor Gabriel Emerson has left
his position at the University of Toronto to embark on a new life with his
beloved Julianne. Together, he’s confident that they can face any
challenge. And he’s eager to become a father.
But Julianne’s
graduate program threatens Gabriel’s plans, as the pressures of being a
student become all consuming. When she is given the honor of presenting an
academic lecture at Oxford, Gabriel is forced to confront Julianne about the
subject of her presentation—research that conflicts with his own. And in Oxford,
several individuals from their past appear, including an old nemesis intent on
humiliating Julia and exposing one of Gabriel’s darkest secrets.
In an effort to confront his
remaining demons, Gabriel begins a quest to discover more about his biological
parents, beginning a chain of events that has startling repercussions for
himself, Julianne, and his hope of having a family.
5 Amazing and beautiful stars
I’m trying to find the right
words to describe how much I absolutely freaking loved this book! I’ve been a
huge fan of the series from the beginning and happy danced when I found out we
were getting a third book! And I can honestly say I wasn’t disappointed, in
fact it surpassed any of my expectations. *Sigh* The Professor and Julianne.
Gabriel’s Redemption picks up not
long after we leave Julia and Gabriel at the end of Rapture. They are enjoying
being newlyweds, oh yes they are, and working on their careers, as one would
expect from these two.
Things are not perfect for the
newlyweds though; they definitely struggle with certain things and have their
share of fights. Gabriel is still the mercurial Professor! But they work
through things, coming to terms with new issues as well as ones that have
haunted them all their lives. That is one of the things I appreciated most
about this book; that while this couple struggles, they work together to find a
way through things. They find strength and love in each other in way that just
melts my heart.
Gabriel’s passion is one of his
most amazing features, it’s always been what grabs my attention and refuses to
let go. He is passionate about his love for Julianne and now wanting to start a
family with her. I loved seeing that side of him especially after the way this
journey began for him.
I don’t want to give too much of
their journey away, but we definitely get to revisit a lot of the other characters
as well, the good and the bad. I would definitely say that ‘Redemption’ is the
perfect name for this book.
This series has been one of my
favorites and while I’m sad to see the end, it was beautiful and my heart is
happy. I think that Sylvain Reynard’s writing is some of the most amazing and
beautiful and I can get lost in his words forever. I know that Gabriel and
Julianne will stay with me as characters, inspiriting me with love and kindness;
they will be my sticky little leaf.
I could go on for days declaring
my love for these books and still not do them justice, so I’ll just say this –
go read them, life is just better with Gabriel and Julianne and of course the
Snarky Narrator!
“God wants to rescue us, not
destroy us.”
I'm also interested in how aesthetic
elements such as art, architecture, and music can be used to tell a story or to
illuminate the traits of a particular character. In my writing, I combine all
of these elements with the themes of redemption, forgiveness, and the
transformative power of goodness.
