Welcome to the INTOXICATED Blog Tour! Be sure to check out Monica Murphy's playlist post below!!
About INTOXICATED:
New York Times bestselling author Monica Murphy
wraps up her sexy Billionaire Bachelors Club series with a wedding to remember.
But this time, they’re not bachelors anymore, and the groom … is one of them.
It’s Gage and Marina’s wedding day, but wedded bliss
seems a long way off: Ivy’s just gone into labor. Marina’s missing her matron
of honor. And Bryn’s giving Matt the silent treatment.
It’s up to Archer, Gage, and Matt to make sure this day goes off without
a hitch. But between brides and babies, there’s the not-so-little issue of the
million-dollar bet to attend to. If only they can figure out who won … and
who’s paying up. Is everyone a winner? Or will someone leave broke—and
brokenhearted?
Intoxicated Playlist
Okay, I’m lying. I didn’t have a playlist I listened to
while writing INTOXICATED. I wrote the novella so fast, I didn’t have time to
listen to music! But I did have playlists while I wrote the other three books
in the series (CRAVE, TORN and SAVOR) so I’m going to pick a few songs from
those playlists and share them here with you today. These songs, I think, are
the best representation of the overall series. So let’s do this!
First up is the song Rude Boy by Rihanna. I love this song.
And it fits every one of the men in this series but especially Archer. He’s a
total rude boy. Here are my favorite lyrics from the song:
I like the way
You touch me there
I like the way
You pull my hair
Baby, if I don’t feel it
I ain’t faking
No, no
Heh heh.
Another song I love that is on the very, extremely short
playlist for TORN (a book that I wrote so quickly I think I gave myself
whiplash. My deadline schedule last summer was hectic, to say the least), is
Pressed Against the Sky by Toadies. I love this song. I especially love these
lines because they are swoon-worthy to me:
If this is a dream I’m happy you’re having it with me
I will stay and savor the way you move me
Don’t want to miss one detail, one sweet smile from your lips
One kiss sets me adrift
Swoony swoon swoon…
The song I believe epitomizes SAVOR and Matt & Bryn is
Treasure by Bruno Mars (and really, all the men in the series believe their
women to be complete treasures).
I know, I know this song was completely overplayed but there
are a few lines that are exactly what was going on between Matt and Bryn in the
beginning of the story. And here they are:
Give me your, give me your, give me your attention baby
I gotta tell you a little something about yourself
You’re wonderful, flawless, ooh, you’re a sexy lady
But you walk around here like you wanna be someone else
Those are my favorite songs from my various BILLIONAIRE BACHELORS CLUB series playlists. If you’d like to check out my Spotify profile, where I have a bunch of playlists saved, you can find it here:
