Blog Tour: Heart in Wire by R.L. Griffin.

Today we are so happy to be part of the Heart in Wire blog tour!! Check out Jenn's review below..

About Heart in Wire:

This book has spoilers in it if you haven't read the By A Thread series yet, you may not want to read the synopsis. This is a companion book to that series and I highly suggest reading it first.

Have you ever been involved in an epic love story where you wound up alone? Have you devoted yourself so completely to someone that you lost yourself in their abyss?

Patrick Greer spent the past five years revolving around El. He fought like hell to not feel the emotions for her that were hidden deep in his gut, until he couldn't anymore. He was so sure of them, of her, of what they were to each other, until he wasn't.

Patrick couldn't even imagine the things he'd done for her, with her and to her. El broke him.

He was a liar, a friend, a lover, a fixer, a runner and a killer.

Now he had to figure out who he was without her.

*There are adult situations, tons of cussing and you may enjoy this book with an adult beverage.

Jenn's Review:

5 +++ Stars
OMS!! Patrick I love you!! I thought I was happy and content with everything when Seamless ended but I now know – nope not at all, I was just waiting for Patrick’s story and holy hell what a story it is!
This is Patrick’s POV, but make no mistake, it’s not the same story we’ve read just rehashed through his eyes. It is emotional and raw and I felt like there was so much more to learn about not only Patrick but the whole group as well. We get to see more about his family and friendships and learn who he truly is.
I so loved getting so much more of the backstory from Patrick, his friendship with both Billy and Jamie, dealing with Jamie (grrrr – can you say bat-shit crazy) and ultimately meeting Stella and having to break her heart and then try to put her back together.
Patrick and Stella’s relationship *sigh* is just so difficult and that becomes even more apparent from his point of view. He loves Stella so much but all it seems to cause him is pain. He struggles so much with his feelings that it truly made my heart hurt for him. I don’t know if I’ve wanted a HEA for someone as much as I did for Patrick. Throughout the BAT series, I’ve always been #TeamGeorge but now…
One of the things that struck me the most about Heart In Wire was how deeply emotional Patrick truly is; I always thought of him as somewhat quiet, stoic and strong in the series and while I think those still apply he is so much more. Patrick is such an emotional character that he often took my breath away.
I adored Patrick’s friendship with Billy and eventually Jesse. They are both wonderful men who seemed to understand Patrick and everything he was going through. Billy quickly became a favorite and I’m SO glad we got to know him better. He is just a brilliant character and I certainly hope R.L. Griffin isn’t done with him yet! And Jesse, oh Jesse, he helps Patrick so much and I absolutely loved it!
I love Marley!! She is absolutely perfect and I won’t spoil anything by saying more about her.
There are certain words that kept coming to mind as I was reading – pain, love, hate and finally complete. Patrick’s journey was  filled with so much pain at times that I found myself physically hurting for him; hating characters I once loved (ahem, Stella) for hurting him but in the end I felt complete. I cried more at the end because I was finally happy that Patrick was happy.
Heart In Wire was amazing and R.L. Griffin is amazing, I absolutely love that woman! This is the perfect companion to the By A Thread series and I know that every one of these characters will stay with me. Now, bring on the porn martinis!!

I live in the Atlanta area and I'm surrounded by awesome dudes: my husband, son and dog. I went to law school at American University, Washington College of Law, but only after I fell in love with D.C. I worked in the Senate during the impeachment trial and wanted to stay. After law school I worked for a bit in the area, then moved to Atlanta.
